How to Play the Left Right Bridal Shower Game:

Tell guests that as you read the story, they are to pass (the gifts) left when you say left, and pass it right when you say right. When the story ends, those with gifts are the winners!

Right Left Bridal Story

"[Bride] left her house and was on her way to the church for her wedding. But about half way there, as she turned left, she remembered that she left her wedding dress at home right by the door! She knew right away that she had to turn around and goright back to get her dress.

So she turned right, then left and left again, turningright into her driveway. Sure enough, there it was, right where she had left it,right next to the door.

Finally, she was on the right track. When she arrived at the church, she realized that she only had 1 hour left before the wedding and she still had her hair and make-up left to do.

So she went right to work and finished with just enough timeleft to say a prayer. "Lord thank you for giving me (groom) who is just right for me. (bride) prepared to walk down the isle and took a deep breath, she stood watching, first the left double door then the right door opened.

She gazed down the isle at her groom standing to the right of his best man and right in front of the pastor. She continued to walk slowly right towards him looking into his eyes hoping she wouldn't begin to cry.

The pastor faced the couple and said, "Alright you too, are you ready?" He begun his message to them reading from Exodus 15.. to remind them to listen carefully to the voice of the Lord their God and to do what is right in His eyes, to pay attentionto His commands.

He read from Deuteronomy 5 to be careful to do what the Lord yourGod has commanded each of them, to not turn aside to the right or to the left, but to stay on the path towards righteousness. To do what is right and good in the Lords sight so that it may go well with them.

Next, the groom read his vows. He promised he would remain faithful to follow God, to be upright with all his heart to God and to do what is right as a husband in the eyes of the Lord.

Next, the bride read her vows. She promised to set God always before her because He is at her right hand, that she will not be shaken whatever trials may come. She promised that if the Lord wills, she would teach their children the right way tolive and teach them that the Word of the Lord is right and true.

The pastor asked the groom to take her left hand and place the ring on her left ring finger. He nervously grabbed her right hand. His best man leaned over and whispered into the (groom) left ear, "It's her left hand not her right!".

They were now husband and wife! The couple got right into their car and sped right off to the reception. On the way there (bride) talked about how happy she was to be his wife, how everything seemed just right and nothing was left out.

Then she teared right up. The couple arrived at the reception. Even though everything was so beautiful, right from the wedding until the moment they left the reception they never stopped to remember where to keep the right focus and what the day was really meant for... each other..."
