My first exposure to the footprints story was through my mom. She had a vertical-framed picture on the wall that had the poem and those unforgettable footprints in the sand.

I remember reading it because I was so curious about who the footprints belonged to. Afterwards all I could think was! I was a kid then. Now, as an adult the words mean even more to me.
