Memory Verses for Parents

Parenting is a challenge. And sometimes, depending on the child, the challenge can seem overwhelming.

But, before you give up on your child, give the word a chance. Speak these scriptures over your child's life.

Don't call your child bad, stupid, or useless. That may be how they are acting, but that is not who God created them to be.

Commit these scriptures to memory or write them down and say them during your prayer time. They definitely help me.

  • Psalm 127:3-5"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."
  • Ephesians 6:4"And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
  • Proverbs 29:12"Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul."
  • Psalms 127:3"Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate."
  • Proverbs 10:1 "The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother."
  • Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him."
