Christian Books that I love

Christian Books

We all have different styles of reading and comprehending. I have a hard time reading books crammed with tiny words on hundreds of pages.

And God forbid the first couple of sentences don't capture my interest. That book will go right back on the shelf.

But now and again I run across a book that captures my interest with the very first sentence. Sort of a, "You had me at hello." experience. Only with a book:>
Okay, enough with the funnies. Here's my list. It's not in any particular order and there are probably some books that I'm forgetting.

But, these are the books that have blessed my life and taught me many of the principles that I live by today.

Dave really blesses me. Spiritual debt counceling in a book! No gimmicks, no quick debt canceling schemes. If you're serious about setting yourself free from debt and living a blessed life without creditors calling you everyday, this is the book to read

"Better Than Good: Creating a Life You Can't Wait to Live" by Zig Ziglar: Zig is so inspiring and I love the inspiring quotes and stories about famous people who struggled in the beginning, but triumphed in the end.

"The Lady, Her Lover, And Her Lord" by TD Jakes: This book really helped me when I was during the aftermath of my divorce. I felt lonely and rejected. "The Lady... and Her Lord", ministered to my broken heart.

"Too Blessed to Be Stressed" by Susan Johnson Cook: Great reminder that we do have things to be greatful for, even in the roughest time. We truly are too blessed to be stressed. The key is, not allowing challenges to over shadow blessings.

"Your Best Life Now" by Joel Olsteen: Read it, Read it, and Read it again. I love the book and I'm reading it for the second time. If you need encouragement to keep on-keeping on, this is one of the best books you can read!

"Words of Wisdom for Women" by Rachel Snyder: This book was a gift from a co-worker. She and I had become confidants. Discussing work issues and personal challenges. The words of wisdom applied to practical everyday situations. It was the perfect gift.

"Woman Thou Art Loosed" by TD Jakes: Great book! There are so many things in our past that bind us and keep us from experiencing God's best. Child abuse, divorce, bad relationships, horrible past mistakes, etc. Our past does not define our future. There is no past challenge that we can't overcome with God.

"Do It Afraid: Obeying God in the Face of Fear" by Joyce Meyer: This book is tiny, but the power within it is enormous! I live by the "Do it Afraid" mantra. Just because you're afraid, doesn't mean you lack courage. And there's nothing stopping you from, "doing it afraid".

"The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren: It's a best selling book and rightfully so. My friends church, and just about everyone elses, read this book as a group. They loved it. I read it and was reminded that my purpose on earth is to worship God in everything that I do.
