The Noahs Ark Story
(Paraphrased)

"You can read The Story of Noah and the Ark in Genesis chapters 6-9

THE NOAHS ARK STORY

God looked at His creation and saw that the people in it had become wicked. However, He did see one good man, Noah.

God told Noah that he was going to destroy every living creature in the earth.

Because Noah, was a righteous man, and God found favor in him, he and his family would be saved.

God told Noah that He was going to flood the earth with water, and every human and animal would drown.

Noah was instructed, by God, to bring two of every kind of animal into the ark. And to gather food for the animals and for his family.

The rain fell for forty days and forty nights. The rains fell heavy and covered the entire earth.

Just as God had said, every human and animal was killed, save those on Noah's Ark.

One day, long after the rain stopped, Noah dispatched a dove. When the dove returned, it was clutching an olive leaf.

This was a sign to Noah that the earth was drying. The flood was over.

Noah thanked God for saving them, by building an altar and offering up gifts to God.

God promised Noah that he would never again destroy the earth by flooding.

A rainbow appeared in the sky as a sign from God, that he would keep his promise never to flood the earth again.
