Additional Sample Prayers on various topics are also available. I too as a Christian have experienced debt, lack, and poverty. At one point in my life, I was living in a rat-infested shack and receiving government assistance.

I prayed, and God gave me a plan.

First, He showed me that I needed to become a giver to the Kingdom of God.

Second, He helped me realize that I wasn't being a very good steward over my finances. I wasn't managing my money. As a result I had severely past due debts. The late fees, past due notices, and collection calls were overwhelming.

Thirdly, He instructed me to become educated.

I researched budgeting, debt management, and credit counseling online and in books. Most offered free debt consultations. Take control of your situation. Educate yourself and Know All Your Options.

Last but not least, He told me to always pray and confess "that I was a lender and not a borrower". And "that I was free from the bondage and stress of poverty and lack".

I stopped saying things like "I'm broke" and "I'll never afford that".

If you are sincere, God will help you. It won't be overnight. And sometimes you may get discouraged. But don't give up. Ask for his help, practice being a good steward, tithe, and get informed.

Remember, as Christian financial guru, Dave Ramsey always quotes (from the bible), "The borrower is slave to the lender."

Prayer for Financial Blessing

Heavenly Father, most Gracious and Loving God, I pray to You that You abundantly bless my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all who believe and trust in you.

GOD, I send up a prayer request for financial blessing for not only the person who sent this to me, but for me and all that I have forwarded this message on to.

And that the power of joined prayer by those who believe and trust in you is more powerful than anything! I thank you in advance for your blessings. God, deliver the person reading this right now from debt and debt burdens.

Release your Godly wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me GOD , for I know how wonderful and mighty you are and how if we just obey You and walk in Your word and have the faith of a mustard seed that You will pour out blessings. I thank You now Lord for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come because I know You are not done with me yet. Amen.
