When I was a youth, many moons ago, our youth group enjoyed bible drills or memory verse activities. For bible drills,the youth director would call out a scripture reference, and the first person would try to recite the scripture.
Let me explain. We were usually given the scriptures a week or so ahead of time so that we could prepare if we wanted. Our youth group was split into two or three competing teams.
The youth director would stand at the front of the room and read out the scripture. Each team had a chance to answer. If the first team misquotes, then the next team tries and so on.
